Not to highjack your Boomerang-mod thread, (which is very cool, btw) I tried to find some sort of official number of units sold on GH/HS etc... all I've come across so far are those little 'mini 4WDs':
  • Dec 1995: Total Sales of Mini 4WD exceeds 100 million units.
I think something like the grasshopper could definitely be in the millions.

The epoxy plate is as old as the boomerang itself :D I found the material a few months ago in the basement of my parents' house. No joke. The plate was there for 25 years in a drawer. But you can also buy the material today. You can order it for example at this company >> www.conrad.de
The German title is " Epoxydplatte 150 X 350 X 2.5 "

Sorry to lift this up but this project is just superb.
Is the car ready or what...
Great skills and good job with the brain to find out this kind of chassis.

Nice of you to ask ! I must confess, I have neglected this project. Certainly with very, very, very good cause. In the meantime two wonderful children were born and claime a lot of my time :D
Compared to the last pics, the Boomerang is a little advanced and I carry to finish this project as soon as possible. I swear to keep you informed.
