Speaking of customs, have you seen Witless Protection? It's the movie where Larry the Cable Guy is a cop who takes a protected witness from the protective custody. One of the scenes has him at the airport trying to go through security and ends up "behind the scenes" in a strip search. The whole movie was great, but this particular section is quite appropriate to todays over zealous and anal TSA bullsh*t.
Yep I've seen it..of course it's no where as bad here...but still 911 sure changed World travel forever..

Just don't try to enter here or it IS as bad as you've heard. Apparently if you want to leave the country it's easy, just don't expect to return without the anal probe.

Oh, the towel is fine, just don't try to bring in a box cutter or more than 3 ounces of hair jell.

I have the same name over there...I do spend quite a bit of time on RCTECH. I've been scarce on both forums lately, gotta get out of my rut and build up my LXTs so I can spam...I mean post some pics.

Apparently some unsavory types (from Australia ... ) have scuttled illicit things in their shoes. We can't take any more than 3 ounces of any liquid onboard anymore. Now you know why we don't like Aussies.

Bloody Aussies...of course the great "Under Arm" fiasco exposed them for what they really are to the "WHOLE WORLD"

Last year I went with a Lady collogue over the big pond to hang with the Jaguar and Land Rover chaps. We had a free afternoon, visited Warwick Castle, very cool yet quite eerie. So my associate decides to buy some souvenirs.

Apparently fairly large sword shaped ‘letter openers’ are also an issue for the TSA.

Always figured she was a natural Blond. Confirmed.

(I don’t feel tooo bad telling this, she laughed pretty hard herself!)

To my knowledge there are no restrictions for checked baggage, it's only the carry on stuff that is at issue. Could be wrong, don't know, I refuse to fly.

At the moment I don't go anywhere that I can't drive to. I don't have a need or want to travel, so it's not a big deal and I'm not missing out on much. I'll go up in private aircraft, just not commercial stuff.
