At first glance I thought so too. But upon closer inspection they lack the raised area in the center.

They look sweet whatever they are.

Cheers

In that case they are probably Ballistic Buggy wheels.

Guys these cars are astonishing!!
Especially the carbon XLS, really incredible! I would never stop to look those pictures...
Sooner or later I will look for a XLS to restore, and I really hope to get similar results!
The mirror wheels are fantastic!!!
Bye

From what i can tell there were only 2 similar sets of 5 spoke rims made for the arly Schueys. JC Racing have the raised centre ( kind of dome like) and have 'JC RACING' molded in that area. Then there was the 'Ballistic buggies' rims which have a flatter face and slightly thicker spokes.JC's came in black, whiye and fluro yellow while ive only ever seen white in the Ballistic Buggies rims. Both look great but as many may have guessed from from my cars the JC's are my favourites. :D

Hi

I'm new to the forum. and quite impressed by the pictures of the cars.
I got a Schumacher CAT myself, got it as a present in the late eighties. I had it running originally on the electronics of a Tamiya Grasshopper.
I don't know the exact type (the box only mentions 'CAT'). Is it an XL? XLS? Something else?

Car is complete and runs smoothly. The original paint job was not fantastic though, and trying to get the paint of the body didn't do much good.
I'm thinking about painting it from the outside to get it presentable again.
If anyone knows where i can get a new bodyshell (replica?), please let me know. I contacted the Schumacher company, but they assured me that they didn't have any bodies left

I'll try to join some pictures, but i understood i can only link to public webserver

Cheers

It is something else that you have....actually a short wheel base CAT...the original buggy from Schumacher (very rare). It looks to be in good condition as well. Reproduction bodyshells can be bought from a member here by the name of Mrlexan.

Thanks for the info.
That explains why the box doesn't mention anything else than 'Competition All Terrain'
I thought already that the car was shorter than Jeroen's cars.
I'll check out with MrLexan about the bodyshell. I hope it will not be too rare to get some.

Grtz
