Soooooo cool, can't wait to see the details! This will be a must buy for sure, pre-order as soon as available. And just imagine if MIP goes ahead with their 4wd kit, what a great time for retro RC.

Everyone stock up and re-sell for millions on ebay 30 years from now, I'll be in a nursing home by then.

Interesting choice of screws, and why Traxxas-esque turnbuckles.

Are you referring to these black chassis screws? Those started being used with the CC. I prefer to replace them with knk screws.

Yeah, they are a much better screw but looks too modern.

Shouldn't the nose tubes also have button screws?

Yes they should, but I consider this as permission that button screws are not always required. 😁

I want the silver e-clips in the kit. Stop teasing with them if the won't be included.

The talk of screws made me think of a possible missed opportunity: a new nose plate with a lower kick-up angle. :(

I wonder if this one gets crazy expensive because, well, they actually had to develop and tool this time around.

I honestly can't imagine that this isn't a joint effort with MIP. Like MIP supplies the axles, shafting etc. AE supplies the molded plastics. It makes no business or financial sense for them both to bring out independent offerings. especially given the MIP reluctance for yeeaaars.

I think what's odd to me about the rear shock tower is I can't see any screws in it. Makes me wonder if it and the bulkhead might be one molded piece.

It looks to me like a natural fiberglass in a worlds style, and the wires in the photo are blocking things.

I hope Eustace has at least a piece of it. I don't know the guy, but it looks like a bad break if he isn't part of the AE project.

It is a strange situation. Dirk said (on FB) that he was aware of the AE project but wasn't allowed to speak about it. He recently made a video in which they spoke extensively about the forthcoming MIP project. Dirk invited Eustace to the Legends race he is promoting. Eustace agreed to come and debut his 4-10 at the race. That makes it seem unlikely that the MIP project is the same as the AE project. If AE had Dirk under a "gag order", so to speak, regarding the AE 4-10, I doubt they would have allowed him to make that video.

Dirk is an old school racer, and creator of the old school RC Facebook page.

My understanding is that rckicks released the info on the AE car from insider news that was not supposed to be released. My understanding is also that MIP was not involved in this release. That said, my understanding as of early this morning from someone that saw chassis pics is the AE car is a dead on copy of the Ten4  so we will see.
