This is something else! Awesome work. What gearing are you going for on it??? I know what i run my Silver Dot at in my 2wd so interested to see what you select. Do you know what Jamie ran with?
Here's another piece of the puzzle for you - going into the post to you tomorrow

As far as gearing goes... Artistic license will prevail, I will give it an educated guess limited by my stock of pinions.
Back then everybody ran 32dp the readily available spur gears where the kimborough (however that is spelt) Luckily those are still available today

The only spur that is large enough for the stock gear cover is the 54T anything smaller does not allow a low enough gearing.
BITD (1988) I used to run 54 spur 9T pinion with a 2x17 1200mAh cells.
Considering that in 1986 cell matching was not en vogue and that the silver dot being a milder motor 2x21 I geared it 54spur 12T pinion (brand new vintage Schumacher pinion).

Did you get these stickers made, if so is there scope to get Demon motor labels made?

Very cool build, very period and brings back memories of seeing RC10's with heavily drilled chassis'

Yup, we can now potentially reproduce Demon motor labels, assuming we have a perfect original.winner_evo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 3:49 pmDid you get these stickers made, if so is there scope to get Demon motor labels made?

Cool, I could do with a couple of motor labels. Is it not possible to make one using a rough decal and just changing the text on them as there's a few variations of specs & a couple of different phone numbers.

Re: Jamie Booth 1986 euro's replica
Thanks dinglem,
Still lots of things I'm not happy with, ball cups, tyres, a few more things... I'll probably be upgrading as I source the parts.
My fingers are sore from sanding
