I would also like to know how this ended up running.
I am building a mid motor jrx pro currently,
Dumb question, when swapping the motor plate to the other side of the gearbox , do you drill a hole for the spur shaft in the gearbox housing to get the spur to the other side?

I'm guessing you won't find out since it looks like he hasn't logged in for a couple of years.

I did a similar mid motor conversion on a Jrx-Pro with great success. When swapping the motor plate, a hole for the top shaft will need drilled on the opposite side, as well as an opposing hole for the diff adjustment. Which also means that the diff will be rotated 180 degrees inside the transmission. Be careful with the hole diameters, because enough material needs to remain in order to retain the bearings. My set up works very well: its well balanced, jumps level and handles great, but I am unable to hold a candle to properly set up modern buggies. But then again, I didn't do it to be competitive; I did it just for fun. But please note, I am not terribly competitive with a properly set up modern buggy, either.

Good info! You have any opinions on the "tude" factor?

Sorry, but I don't really have an opinion on the "'tudes". I just try to manage my time efficiently, and follow "happy wife, happy life". Its been working well for the last 15 years, anyway. I do wish I had more time, however.
