Fear not, none of the kits white 5-spoke wheels were harmed during the making of this Losi Jr.2

WOW! I hadn't checked in on this build thread for a little while... but what a stunner this is turning out to to be!!
Thanks for the link for the flanged bearings - I need to get a set for the levers that I brought for my Pro
Also thanks for the heads up on the XXX 'spiders' for the universal shafts... the only real reliabilty issue I had with by JRX2 runner was with the roll-pins (used with the original shafts) working their way out - the locking grub screw & solid pin would solve this issue

BTW this must be a later XXX feature - as my original release model XXX had the regular (non-locking) cross peices.

I've just ordered some Proline 2" rear wheels from Dan @ OLDRC which I'm going to dye black as I have no intention of getting black dye near the original kit wheels - I know how rare they have become.......and besides I don't want Chris to have a heart attack.......!

Those flanged bearings from MOBearings in Macau are great value for money and just shows what a little bit of eBay research can do!
I think the re-buildable bearing cross for the drive shafts, part # A-3027, came with the XXX-CR although I'm not 100% sure about this - maybe someone else can clarify???
They are so much easier to work with than the standard part - just don't overdo it with the threadlock.......! You can also buy the replacement pins and grub screws as well, part # A-6407.

I'm not too familiar with Losis, but it just looks a bit odd that the rear shocks are mounted behind the tower instead of in front...is that indeed how they're mounted?

It's the only way I could get them to fit but yes, it is correct!

It looks like if they were on the front, you'd have more length too. The chassis looks great, by the way. Love the all black chassis & charcoal shock bodies.

I did try it that way round but there was no way that the shock end was going to reach the suspension arm, even with the thick spacer. If you look back at the build, I also had to swap out the RPM shock mounts that I had installed to the early type found on the original JRX-2 as they would not allow the shock body to 'pivot' backwards. I thought the problem was originally in the way I had the H-arms mounted but after I checked the manual and some on-line photo's, I discovered that I already had them the right way round....
On the original 5-Link JRX-2 the shocks are indeed mounted towards the front of the chassis because the shock end is mounted forward on the lower swing arm.

Nice build!
I absolutely love the Junior 2 7 Junior T and I have no idea why!
Both of mine have in progress box art paint.
I picked this up the other day and have never seen anything like it-I have 3 or 4 sheets of the decals that came with your kit,but this one threw me!
Love the colours...I might have to build another Junior 2,just to use them on it.
Anyone seen one before?
