More seriously, I really enjoy restoring much more than building from new parts, it's sooooo releaving when you feel like you have saved an old buggy, especially when it's a rare one...
You're not the only one that thinks that way brother.

(A little off topic) Thanks for that, after following that link I now desperately need a Mugen K2X Spirit and SR-Tempest and they aren't going to be cheap

What could it possibly need, is there some internal part that couldn't be cleaned to perfection?
Seriously, that looks beautiful! Nice job!

WOW that's a wreck mate! Looks like the rear mount has been reversed to fit in a box to be shipped, I don't see any other explanation. Anyway, chassis is bent, front parts are missing and everything looks a bit rusty

WOW! I was away for a few weeks and look what happen! Man you make me miss my cars back home in Canada. I have a few AYKs too but none here in the Netherlands... Next time I go home I'll spend some time with them too
Darryn, did I read you correctly? You are going to make repros of AYK bodies? It's really time someone do this. I bough a Bobcat body from Japan a few year back and I paid $80 for it. I don't even dare painting it.... So even less running it. So do you plan to sell those or just make them for you?
Great job on the car Asso_man I'm 100% with Darryn this is one of the best brand to get. The Radiant is awesome too... chain driven 4wd. All gold anodized like one of our favorite one on this forum.... Pro Radiant is very cool too!
Cheers!!
