Did you actually think I wouldn't have both pieces to test and prove you wrong? Lmao!

They'll work. You just gotta finesse them a little bit.

Finally got shrink tube so now it's battery building time...... for a couple builds. Time to sacrifice my old spec packs that haven't been charged since the late 90's. The yellow is a little lighter than I'd like, but....

I probably missed this somewhere before, but where did you get that shrink wrap?

Is that PVC shrink wrap or standard stuff?

Well its shiney, so I'd say its pvc. There smaller diameter shink tube for wiring is dull.

i finally ran to my lhs today, and while there, i noticed some batteries in their recycling box. i figured hey, i'll recycle them into display packs..... and they were free. take note of the 4 1200 cells.

unfortunately that smile faded when i found out they were CA'd together.
but i was able to salvage one to build the 7 cell pack for this car. the new shrink tube is definitely off in color from the old sanyo labels. so i guess i'll keep looking for other stuff. but it's good enough for this car. now i just gotta do something about a body and wing.....
