Re: XX4 HEAVY METAL TRUCK BODIES
the only ones who look at you weird for buying pink paint are narrow minded and have never had a friend or family member go through or pass away from breast cancer...real men run pink. sorry to thread jack but my heavy metal repro body will have this or a different scheme...the colors look nice together.
do you think its a bad twilight zone episode for team associated to be re producing a buggy from yesteryear that is capable of beating their latest and greatest production buggy?

I too love the box-art XX, looks seriously cool, great job.
Also love the SCT paint, that'll look awesome on a HM shell - those splats were all the 'fashion' BITD

Re: XX4 HEAVY METAL TRUCK BODIES
i get all kinds of old school comments...like a few others im bringing old school back...maybe it will get more guys to dig in the attic, garage, closets for their old stuff. im just trying to lock down a good mount for the front so i can properly mount my hm body and then its paint time.

Re: XX4 HEAVY METAL TRUCK BODIES
Does anyone have any part numbers to mount one of these bodies to a xx cr?

Re: XX4 HEAVY METAL TRUCK BODIES
Losi only made body mounts for the XX4 specifically for this truck, and even then they were from the Street Weapon. You'll have to find/make some custom mounts if you want to mount one to a XX, must be possible though with some creative thinkingJustin33 wrote:Does anyone have any part numbers to mount one of these bodies to a xx cr?

Re: XX4 HEAVY METAL TRUCK BODIES
I would think any oval based mounts can be adapted pretty easily.

Re: XX4 HEAVY METAL TRUCK BODIES
There's been a couple of original conversion kits come up on ebay lately, I've bagged one for myself, but the seller appears to more

Re: XX4 HEAVY METAL TRUCK BODIES
I 'offered' the shell up to the car a few days back, but I need to move the rear wheels further back as they dont quite sit in the centre, so looks a bit odd. I am going to get some 2 degree pivot blocks so once lowered it should help move the rear axle back a little.FasterLouder wrote:Isaw that body and conversion kit, nice score.

Once xmas is out of the way I am hoping to get it done.
