I sure am, I mentioned it earlier in the thread and think I might have been the first to think about ripping him off! Lol! But my projects move so slowly I have been over taken!

That looks really good Doc, I am building a purple one and since I suck at painting I am having some major issues with the chasis. I have painted it and stripped it 3 times cuz I think it looks like crap.

More pre-xmas photos, here is the arrival of the RPM tranny and parts thanks to Mrlexan. I just need the bearings for the tranny! BTW have they made the RPM truck tranny less white? I am not impressed with its off white look!

Tranny and miscellaneous finishing parts.

Hehehe, I kind of like the pink myself, I don't know what that says about me :?

BTW I don't know if you know, I might be confused by what you wrote, but this is a factory pink paint job. 8)

marui is new to the site, but a fine fellow. actually marui the pink chassis is highly desireable, so if you get the chance to pick one up one from the "old parts bin" at your LHS, don't pass it up.

LOOKS GOOD DR. Let me know if you need anything else.

Getting nicer and nicer Ed, I would say your battery will tend to hang around inside the tub with that Pure Tech strap set-up, I'll hopefully find that damn color picture with the check scheme shell '10 this week-end :P

Well as you asked I would like to find some colour matched paint to touch up the chassis. I went on http://www.combicolor.co.uk/?action=colourselect the national Rust-oleum distributors website and they don't seem to have a Fluoro pink, can you provide a US link or something?

They only had green, blue, orange, red, yellow, on their website.

I just threw the electronics and battery strap in as a mock up and would need to drill the chassis a new hole to accept the battery strap and am not sure I'll do that tbh.

I can't wait to see that pic though Asso_man! *fingers still crosssed*

Yes but I think the Pure-tech battery strap requires two holes to secure it each side.

I should stop typing as I can't really remember

Even using the rear holes on the puretech strap you won't be able to fit in a current stick pack...I had the same problem on my siebenelch car, it even has extra holes drilled forward in the chassis... :|

Go with a classic battery cup if you're gonna run it.
