Thanks for fixing my last video klavy69. I've got the hang of it now.

Only one thing left to do, we'll , you know , PUT IT ON THE GROUND MAN. That is a bute . can't wait to see the body painted !!!!!!!!

Is that resistor in the right way? It seems your running on the shorter side of the wind. I think that is the brake side of the resistor?

Good eye, Rod! He's got the red and black reversed on the resistor... But the 2F also does not have servo reversing, so I suspect the throttle trigger is being moved the wrong way to go "forward". He must be pulling the throttle lever towards the wheel for forward.

Lol! Our big conference room at work is being remodeled and a lot of open carpet is up there now. We shall see.

I knew I should have asked about the resistor first! I've never put one of the mechanical speed controls together before. I wanted to see if the thing was even going to work before I went on vacation so I got in a hurry and just put it together. I supsected something was wrong since the servo had to go so far forward before making contact with the power circuit. I'll fix that up in the morning and post a new video.

I'm pushing the throttle forward away from the wheel at the moment. After I fix it I guess I'll be pulling the throttle towards the wheel. Just got back from vacation so I'm too tired to think about it now lol. I'll post a new video once I get it fixed. I need to tighten up the steering too as it doesn't seem to pull all the way from lock to lock.

Servo reversing at the transmitter is super easy if you decide to go that route. Just find the throttle pot, and swap the 2 end wires. That's all the switch does

I was going to ask about that. Thanks gomachv! I found a PDF for the radio too so I'll be looking that over.

I had to rethink my comment, and look at my Parma slot car handle converted 2F. Forward would be towards the wheel...

I always ran pulling the lever towards the back of the radio for forward and towards the wheel for brake. Hmmm

Had a jerobee 1/12 scale , and a jomac 1/12 with a td .049 both had a square box transmitter. Idle was towards the back of the box , and full throttle was towards the steering wheel. You held the transmitter acrossed you left arm. Pushing the throttle is the easyest way. Both cars were ready to run.

Not disagreeing with you. Just figuring out I was backwards all along!
