I figure I'd throw a pic of mine up for fun. The only thing I did different from the stock kit is add the turnbuckle set.
This kit actually came with some turnbuckles but I found the new upper rod kit so I installed those. It was dumb luck and came with the car but the Kyosho 600e really matches the box art perfectly and I'm glad it was included.

I'm pretty sure I used pactra competition orange in the bottle. I brushed it on since the wing has those tight folds which are impossible to get with a spray.

That's what I did with the Optima wing. I think I'm going to spray this one on the outside and shoot clear over it.

Diff rings (my bad, "pressure plates") showed up yesterday while I was at the track. Quick swap of the parts and now my trans is back together and silky smooth. Only part I'm waiting on now is the wing mount.

Great looking little Turbo Ultima! Very inspiring to see such a nice build. 8)
By the way, that bumper looks mint! I didn't see that you'd replaced it, was it the original? Those little buggers are hard to find and expensive when you do!

Mine just needs for me to get off my butt and paint it and add stickers and my nip chassis.

The bumper was a new purchase, may have been the first part I bought for it and yes, it was way to expensive. It still had the original price tag of $2.95; if only  I kept the header cars for everything I picked up for the build and I'll take a picture of those tomorrow when I get home from work (24hr shift today :( ).

Wing mount finally showed up so I was able to finish it off :) The orange on the wing is a bit bright than the decals but it's good enough for me.

Sweet! :D

I remember when mine was new and factory fresh....I almost forgot how cool these cars looked unmodified.
Definately one of the best looking cars of the classic RC era.
I never used the body it came with. (Stadium trucks were hot at the time..)
Now, I regret not keeping it!
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...
