I'm finally back home and have some time to work on my current projects

Want to say thanks to Brian (bscotti) for the awesome MRP Lambo shell. It's great to find a period correct body. I have a couple of issues mounting it though. First, The front Associated body post doesn't allow it to lower down into place. I can make the holes bigger, but would look and feel sloppy, or I could trim down the bottoms of the body posts to shorten them The second issue I have is that I think that after mounting it, my chassis is a 200mm LS, LSS, etc and not a 10L. The rear pod is definitely a 10L, it fits nice, but the front track is way too narrow

The body cost more than the car, so it looks like I may be off to find a 10L composite craft chassis, which ironically is which the title of the thread states. I would appreciate any input there is to offer.

the front end of a 10l was always narrower than the rear.

oh, and just cut the front posts down.

oh, $h!t, that makes me feel better. Sounds like an easy fix

no worries paul, I found these in an andy's truck conversion project. One is painted yellow and the other silver...I will clean them up and shorten them.

getting some progress made with the body. Next step is ordering Gulf decals. I got the orange wheels on the way too

Looking good I did my 12L Mr Lexan Porsche with the Gulf decals I like it alot, very nice job.

Finally got a chance to start assembly on DW911's chassis, over the Xmas break at home, I was able to countersink the balance of the mounting holes and during the Rose Bowl today, started assembly!

Does anyone know if there are any white angles servo mounts available for these pan cars??? I would like to get my hands on a set.

I'm also looking for a white spur gear. I don't have a pinion for it, so the tooth count would be flexible, although I don't even know what gear ratio to use with a 10L

the angled mounts were designed for use with the dynamic strut front end. you could probably use them on that, but you'd have to shave the front arms down on an angle at the rear so the tie rods would clear.

I know I've got the HPI front end, but based on their manual, they still use angled servo mounts

Right, those white angled servo mounts are elusive. I ended up eBay'n a couple of RC12L with them, but both were poorly drilled by the original owners and were useless. On my RC10L's, I just ended up using the white RC10 straight servo mounts.

yeah, I will likely go ebaying too for some servo mounts.

I finally got my Gulf Racing decals from the guys in the UK, which turned out very good
I just noticed that I missed a small Gulf decal on the front left side, guess I will be putting that on as soon as I'm done posting this

Now all I need to do is suck up some cash for electronics. I got my Novak Havoc all flanged up with orange, blue and black wires. I will likely install a orange and black Savox servo, orange Novak receiver, orange and black Novak Ballistic brushless motor (but I have no idea of what turn to buy, so I welcome any suggestions)
