you could shorten it for 6 cell use, though. i think there's enough material on the tapered end. i think i gave the one i had to reggie last time he was here, so i can't go look at it to confirm that.

the worlds brace is 6338 or something like that. the part number you mentioned is the 7 cell fiberglass brace (i believe).

Fiberglass Battery Strap fits 6-cell Battery Pack No. 6339, right off the header tag.
