I think it sold for $9 without the tranny. If it shows up again as a sprint I will know the purchaser had the same vision.
It ran like a scalded dog! It was ok on the oval but pushed (hey, the front suspension was wire!!!). Fun on the street. This was my first effort at a mid-motor and took about two hours all-told. I cut the tub down with the intent of running aluminum channel down either side of a centered battery, slightly shaved to clear the outdrives (never got that far). I envisioned the outer sides of the chassis as big nerf bars. The tranny/chassis brace was rolled over pvc and angled on the vice, finished the tight 90 with a hammer (hey, sometimes I like to hammer stuff). It bolted to the chassis and the aluminum channel rear shock mount mounted to it (comprende?). I used the same aluminum for the front shock mount. Not perfect, not pretty, but pretty cool. More importantly, I had fun.
