Keep us informed of any updates. This is the one car that I wished would have made it into production.

good luck with the build. shouldn't be too hard since you've been there, done there, and got the t-shirt already.

Sure, but its the same chain itself other than the length
They're actually quite different. The Yokomo chain has a finer pitch and is narrower. Kyosho and AYK used the same size ladder chain, however.

I was just surfing for some Dominator stuff and found Brian Langraff mentioning the 4.8mm ladder chain they used and where they got the drive parts back in the day. Happy surfing!

Yep, well technically you got them from my dad.
I'm just trying to keep an eye on the forums to make sure everyone is happy with the stuff they are getting.

heh well I have to admit, I've been bitten by the bug and we've had our fair share of excitement from the forums as well.
It was only after you found my dad's shop and I came here did I finally realize what 'the cool buggy on the top shelf at my dad's old shop' was.
I was a little too young for the original rc10 scene, and got Tamiya cars to bash around with when I was old enough.
The RC10 were too expensive, though my dad had one which I'm still finding parts here and there: a set of rear shocks, 1 rear jelly bean rim and a few other bits.
I didn't really mean to derail this thread, but I'll post a new thread soon with pics of an rc10 I got off craigslist that is in pretty great condition, just a few scratches on the chassis but otherwise nice condition and we can chat more there.
I'm really looking forward to seeing those holiday buggy tires mounted and the progress of this build, I wanna put some old used up ones on a thrasher I'm piecing together.
