When using K & S 83060
I cut a short piece of rubber hose with an ID just larger than 3/16.
Chuck the hose in a drill with the K&S in the rubber hose, not too tight.
Take the tap and hold it with your stationary chuck.
I just use a little motor oil.
A quick countersink to start before tapping.
Each threading to 1/2", usually 2 passes maybe 3, takes less then 1 minute. Edit: With the 2 flute tap
While you have the tube in the rubberized chuck give it a spin with polish, no scratches or marks from the chuck.
Chuck

Mounted new shoes on the CC Predator Lynx build. Shocked how close these are in size to the OG TRC tires/wheels. The brand is HotRace. They feel soooo sticky and spongy

Can't wait to get them on a track for a proper test. It took a while to decide on these...I looked at Matrix, Xceed, GP Speed, Contact RC, BSR, CRC, Corally and JFT....but availability and price ($16.50 rear pair & $11 front pair) won with the HotRace tires. If anybody has any feedback on running vintage pan cars with foams from any of the above....PLEASE let me know your experience....since I'll be looking to buy full race sets later this year and want the best bang for the buck!

where are you finding those? The HotRace website shows almost nothing in stock and no products at all for 1/10 or 1/12 pan car

morrisey0 is right...currently in France. I get long lead R/C stuff shipped to the U.S and pick it up when I get back stateside. Short lead stuff...well, not as easy to score across the pond, for what I'm look'in for....but, sometimes you win.

Working on building a 1/32 scale short course truck. Here is one of the screws that it is assembled with.

a couple days ago I finally tried my hand at airbrushing again after not having one for over 23 years. The body is unfortunately cracked up a bit from spending a little too long in brake fluid but made a good practice canvas. Definitely need more practice but this didn't come out as bad as I expected.

I think I've seen those kits before, love how accurate it is to the real trucks at such a small size. Is that the Orlandoo?
