I always liked the sound of those Hooker Aero-Chamber mufflers. But damn, they are heavy.

Yeah, I wanted something that had good flow and sounded "different" They did sound great but were actually too loud if there is such a thing I ended up putting tube mufflers before them so essentially I'm running 4 mufflers albeit straight through. You could drop a ball in the collector flange and it would come out the tailpipe.

The other mufflers on my list were Spintech or Warlocks for a cheap muffler that could easily be uncorked.

Still waiting on the driveshaft to be made.....


I tried to get these stickers modified slightly but haven't had much luck with the local printers, so I gave up and decided to just put the originals on. They fit and look ok...

Wonder if someone would get a chuckle if they noticed......

The Strange chromoly driveshaft doesn't look like much on the floor ....


But when you get up close you can see just how beefy it really is....



It's overkill, but piece of mind.

I finally had some motivation so I installed the driveshaft. I was paranoid that it was too long but it's actually pretty good. I also filled the diff with some Torco non friction modified racing oil, so all that's left to do is bleed the rear brakes and it's drivable again,

however,

I'll install all the front end gear firstly before driving it. More cheap shocks but it won't take long before they're 10/10 anyway


I also mounted the front mud flaps, they look good can't wait to mount the stock wheels/hub caps

Not sure if I posted anything about these earlier or not but this is also something I've been working on and off for the last 10 years as well

To go along with my mag wheels and stock steel wheels/hub caps I also picked up a set of Fairlane Sportsman wheels to give myself options. I wouldn't say they are my favorite wheel but they actually look pretty good in person and I think they'll suit a white car much better. I'm halfway through restoring these, just trying to find someone at the moment to put a bit of TIG filler in the lip to repair a bit of curb rash.

After that I can polish the rim and paint the center.
