Well... shows what I (don't) know about Deltas...

It's a delta shock with an IRS extended spring retainer. Used on pan cars in the mid/late 90's like the Wood Racing X-13. You can see how they'd work on my Wood Racing car: http://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=104529&mode=view

The IRS retainer is a beefier version of what I did...which was what I've typically seen done, screw a long tube on the end of a regular delta spring retainer. Also I believe the spring inside is to create rebound when the rear axle droops.

Dunno specifics.

Might be there's a benefit moving the shock mounting point closer to where the rear pod actually pivots...especially on link cars or the Wood Racing cars that had pivot balls inside the t-bar where it connected to the rear pod. Or it could just be that the move to side shocks/dampner tubes created a void where the dampner discs used to be and the shocks had to get longer to reach the pod.

Whatever the specific reason longer shocks seem to have stuck around to modern pan cars.

The keyway in the center makes me think they're supposed to spin on an axle or shaft so I want to guess at some kind of wheelhub or gear adapter.

I figured it out! I thought the part was MIP related and I was correct. Super Diff. parts for the Big Bear.

Can someone take a guess at what is inside this Trinity bottle? All I know is, it's vintage, it's very fluid but not as liquid as, say, gun oil (not sure how it's called in English, sorry), and it's pink-ish... I use it on stuff sometimes when the risk level is low

nice job on the marui investigation. That's kind of what I was thinking, some kind of diff parts, but for a pan car with the 'D" and woodruff key slot. The diff makes perfect sense.

Lonestar, what does it smell like? I would guess it's just a 'custom' machine oil. I have a trinity oiler, but I don't know if I bought it full or if I put machine oil in it.
