I know you make the wheel spacers but do you make the crush sleeves as well ?

No, never remade those. Probably won't either with other options. Need to concentrate on stuff that isn't so saturated

Looking on the bright side at least the stupid mistakes AE does on their kits support the aftermarket in terms of them making parts to fix their mistakes and I also get to see what building come up with to fix issues that shouldn't have made it to production.

I'm thinking Ten4.C... the conversion kit. I think that's the play we're working toward here.
Make one for every kit they produce. Don't sell the parts separately. One big bag of goodies. Everything you need. Except for cheesy tools. Minus the shelf queens of course.

My RC104WD came in today. I literally just sharpie'd the shipping box and stuck it on a shelf in the garage. I don't think I have been less enthusiastic about getting a RC car in my life. Just weird how this all worked out.

I feel you. I have a Tamiya Brat, Kyosho Turbo Scorpion, Jammin Jay RC10, and YZ-10 sitting in the boxes.
The only thing that I've done to any of them was remove the lexan Brat body for another project. The Brat will use the hard body.

Agreed... I placed my pre-sale order as soon as the link was available. Then I read all the back stories, history and shenanigans... I'm sure I will build it but the shine has definitely been knocked off.
I'm hopefull that another run of the Ten 4 kits will hit the market. I have a vintage car that would be awesome to make 4wd

Other than copying, which is bad (makes the car useless and worthless) ....but if you try and forget all that, you still have to deal with those horrible blue front shock springs....looks like dogcrap.

Not a fan of color coded springs?

On the plus side, the drive shafts almost fit.

100%. Even moreso after communicating with AE and being told "this is the first we've heard of the axle problem". Can't raise the BS flag high enough there.
I should have known about all this, but I didn't. Learning of it has caused me to lose interest in most of my other AE kits, basically anything from the last 2 decades. The shady crap combined with the design flaws and the handling of it, yeah, I'm wishing I'd bought one of each version of the Optima re-re instead of 3 of these.
One is built and the issues fixed as you can see above, but I'm returning the other 2 and will not buy another AE product. Ever. AE lost at least one life-long customer over this one.

Yeah me too, still have my 870c rere sitting in the box. Was totally disappointed when it came with gear diffs and average shocks.
