Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Just wondering if anyone can ID these turnbuckles I currently have on the t2 shelfer. I thought they came off of some later model of AE truck, but I am not finding them in my searches. They appear to be chromed steel.

Ok, it's starting to become a personal challenge for me to stump you guys. So here's my latest offering--I got a bunch of these nip in one of the collections I picked up. Some kind of resistor, I'm assuming sort of universal, but for what?

Looks quite similar to the resistor pack on this aristo craft mechanical speed control off of ebay.

GV was Great Vigor, the Beagle was a copy of the Optima. That's the resistor for it

You guys are amazing at this. I don't know which is more crazy, me ending up with a pile of this off the wall stuff, or you guys knowing exactly what it is. I'm going to have to try harder. I don't feel like I've even challenged you yet.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Well, I pulled out the old hard drive magnet and it did not stick. It looks like that could be the best idea on what they are, thanks guys

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Looking for help with a couple ID's...
The carbon trans brace...who made it, and for which vehicle? Are all those holes original?
And the red 3.0mm fiberglass chassis (obviously well used and with a few extra holes)...who made that, and for what application? When I got it, it had just a crazy jumble of mixed vehicle parts on it...
Thanks!

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Thanks, bud. Because it was so narrow, I thought of a sprint, but it seemed really long for that, so I figured I was wrong...

Can't seem to figure out what this car is. It's 1/12 Tamiya. Also, what is this microchip thing on the front? They are on a couple of the cars I just picked up.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I'm thinking custom chassis myself as I stare at it more, but I'm not seeing anything rc12l on it. The rear set up, top plate, battery straps, rear shock, front components, ball cups etc are the same as the old tamiya 1/12 cars. I have a couple rc12l's, Tamiya race master, and tamiya road wizard f-1 to compare it to and after searching all over the net, I can't find a match. I have 5 cars with this style of chassis and they all look to be custom made, but I figured they must be based off of some car to begin with.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Microchip thing on the front I would imagine is some form of lap counter transceiver thing.
