This is Rudy, a 2 1/2 year old Kelpie.

We adopted him from a home where he was pretty much locked outside all day, and locked in the laundry all night, with NOTHING in between. This photo is how he was when he arrived last month..... 'wiry' would be a good description!

Since arriving, he has enjoyed hot and cold running food, two walks a day most days, endless attention, and our bed to sleep on.... so he's coming along just fine.

We've already managed to put a couple of kgs on to his undernourished frame, which is good..... and training is ongoing. Very smart dogs, Kelipes... knows just who to push, and how, to get more food

Work starts on being able to leave him alone in the house in the coming weeks..... wish us luck!

Our previous household monster, Louie, came to us with Separation Anxiety issues, so we're well aware of what it's like to not be able to go anywhere together, without arranging a 'sitter' . Now that Rudy's been with us a month, we are hoping to start the process of weaning him off needing to be on top of us 24/7. Going to take a bit of time, but we need to do it, as the missus was pretty much a prisoner at home for the three years we had Louie.
