Thanks, Rod! Sadly, I could use more. That's only half of the cars.

Lookin good Robert! Spent the week insulating an walling in the barn. Not real thrilled with the results.

Contemplating paint. Thoughts welcome.

I think it looks good. Plus, paint and trim can hide a lot of flaws.

What flaws

I'm going to get some of the flare back up and see the results. If that doesn't cut it I may try a light grey first.

Once it's covered in display cases, peg board, and cupboard space, it won't be so bad. Paint it, don't paint it, up to you.... but I think that 'raw' finish might grow on you, and you won't ever have a worry with marking it!

P.S. No, I don't think Farmer wallpaper would be a good idea.....

Hey folks,
Lot's of motivation on this forum, I love it
I am in the process of reworking my basement to have some proper work area and storage areas. More pictures to come, but here are the workbenches I just completed today. Felt good to retire the card table I was using
I'll post more photos when I get my shelves completed and cars on display.

Lookin good Duckhead! I'm going to let mine settle a bit before I decide. I may just be mad at it because it's made me work so hard.

throw a couple coats of cheap white paint on it Ken and it will brighten it up a bunch. If not let it grow on you and you can always do it in the future for a change.
Aren't you supposed to insulate
before winter

Definitely throw some white paint on it. Or white on the top half, light gray on the bottom. That wood will only get darker.

Feeling a bit better now that it's cleaned up and finished. I have a lot more stuff to hang, but I think it will be fine. Sorry for the selfie...

Much better, glad you did not paint it. Looks like it is going to be much warmer in there.

It looks great with the decor! No apologies needed for the selfie, but thank goodness you have a shirt on!
Of course, we have no idea about pants...
