Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Well, there you go! Old post, but thought I would share this pic I came across if anyone was curious. Looks like they were produced by Sees for TMS. I would guess the wheels I have that fit the Monster Beetle are the same. Pretty interesting.scr8p wrote:I had a feeling they were TMS wheels, then I found this:

I guess I'll clean them up a little bit more. Maybe do the centers gold?

I have a set of those, I was wondering who made them. Wide fronts for the Ultima...I guess it was for the JG truck conversion.j-sou wrote:Well, there you go! Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Well the wheels looks to be the early silver colored Associated that came with the RC1.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I've seen the auction with the chassis pictures. It's absolutely filthy but looks like an RC1 as far as I can tell. I always look at the stamped metal engine mounts.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
It's an eBay auction if anybody is interested I can post a link, it's not mine. I have since verified with an online friend in the UK that it's a RC1, he said he has 3 complete cars in very good complete shape and is going to sell one to me with a vintage Kraft radio. He hasn't given the price but said he would give me a great deal on one. What do these RC1 cars sell for normally? The one I posted a picture of is at 1k!

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I think the market is high right now from the few cars I've seen sell recently. That car could clean up well but I feel I've seen much cleaner examples sell for less than that car is already at.
