The first ones are definitely Schumacher, they look like a mismatched colour set of Pro shocks, with upgrade alloy bottom shock seals.
The yellow ones are Kyosho Sport shocks, I used to have some like that, I'll see if I can find a picture.

The gold ones came on an Intruder so likely are Kyosho. Yeah the rest of the car was pretty bad as well.
The suspected Schumacher ones also came with some Tomy bits which makes me think from a Schumacher around the same time. I could be miles off though.
No idea with the yellow ones. You are probably right with Tamiya. Thanks for the suggestions.

Alex, our posts crossed, thanks for the extra info. Can you let me know what sort of car the Schumacher shocks would have come from? Hopefully something around the age of the Tomy Intuder as I will then fit them to one of my projects.
As for the yellow ones it would be good to see a pic so I can verify them.
You guys certainly know your stuff.

The bottom olive green Pro shocks would have been an option on cars from the Cougar2 or BossCat onwards. The top ones look to be silver, which would put them as possible standard shocks for the same period.

Here's some pics of the ones I used to have.... note that mine were W5141Y, meaning short sport shocks in yellow... I think they also came in medium (W5142) and long (W5143), with a different letter to represent the colour.

reedy used a black can but i don't think anything was stamped on the front of the can.
Mike usually scratched some information on the outside of the can around the bottom of the label, see if you spot some writing there.
i forgot trinity also used EPIC cnc endbells for a while they looked again like clones of the Kyosho and trinity bells, the EPIC bell had a rough texture like a cast with some machining while the Trinity looked cnc cut.
the brush heatsinks i messed up on they did come earlier then 1989 but they were bare colored, later was purple anodized.
You are probably right about a plain jane Reedy with an added endbell. There is nothing at all scratched onto the can. One thing I wanted to know about it is the wind - the "Mr. whatever" part of the label is too faded to read...so by taking it apart I at least know it's a quad...
As you can (hopefully) see in the pics, there's a big 43 on one side of the armature.

looks like a double wind to me. full armature so it's probably a higher turn, 16, 15?
Also, you can see why it needed a new endbell, probably lost the bearing, arm contacted the magnets at one point.

4 wires going into each solder point...or is that just a loop of 2 wires?

4 wires means double wind, 2 in, 2 out. a quad would have 8 wires, 4 in, 4 out. also, quads would need to have significantly smaller wire gauge to get all of them to fit.
