JG monster truck shock tower. Blue shocks were made by You-G though the yellow spring retainers are from Tamiya shocks. Don't recognize the red shocks but I don't believe they're Ayk.

Got this in an auction lot, can't figure out what it is. The gear box is what's throwing me off.

Yup! I always thought it would be fun to make a dirt oval traxxas car off one of those

Call RC Plus in Salem Oregon, (503) 364-9188. They will have to root thru boxes but they had a couple complete diffs with gear mounted and ready to go in their bins last I checked. They will ship. It's helpful if you have the part number, look on the traxxas website under legacy models. The complete diff is what I remember seeing.

That looks like it. I couldn't find the legacy models on their website anymore.

The Street Sport was the last Traxxas model I've ever owned, and also the last Traxxas model I've driven. I don't plan on changing that anytime soon either. :P
I bought one sometime between 1999-2001. I worked a night shift job, and I'd bring it to work with me to drive around on one of the parking lots.

Unfortunately they came stock with these horrible slick tires that were peaked in the middle which offered little traction. If I remember right, they were an odd size so they couldn't just be changed. nothing was really available at the time to easily convert the wheels from another model to fit either.

They would have made an excellent car for drifting in stock form but I don't recall there being much of a following or market for that yet either. The car didn't last too long anyway before it was discontinued.
