This guy was the lead singer of a band called The Why Store based out of Indy. They used to play at a bar called Harpole's here in Evansville every once in a while. It was one of
thee places to be on Friday and Saturday nights when I was a young and single (ahh, the good times

). Anyway, if anyone is unfamiliar with him and The Why Store it's worth looking up.

I'm not sure what he is doing now, but I hope he is doing well. He has a great live and studio voice. Very unique. This is as close as they ever got to hit as far as I know. Drew
some radio play, but not much. I personally don't care if a song is a hit or not, but obviously most artists do. Anyway, I'll raise a glass for him while the grill heats up in 20 degree weather, or whatever it is outside...

can't say it's a big surprise going by the last decade or so, but RIP Whitney.

Not shocking, for sure. RIP
Scr8p, do you remember when she shot that video at Stabler Arena in the late 80s? A bunch of my friends in high school tried (and failed) to be part of the "audience."

I just heard about Whitney shortly before logging on here. 48. Obviously there is a lot more to the story, but that's still very young. I wasn't exactly a fan, but I still have respect for pipes like that. RIP

I'm sure I'm the only one left not to know about them in depth... I've heard a few tunes from these guys for the past couple of years but this one hit me on some half-alternative radio this morning and boy does the main riff ROCK!!!
Looked it up and of course they're all over the web already... the sound is perfect, I shoulda known it it was some big prod...
... but for once it aint some bieber or britney crap!

Well that's just great Bob.

I just get ready to try and learn the guitar
again and you lay that on me??
On a probably not so related note as I might think, I do love beautiful music. Soothes the savage beast I suppose.

I have for many years enjoyed sitting back with a beer on the back deck and pondering life's great mysteries. I've solved them all but two.

A great soundtrack is necessary for such things and I ran across this CD the other day. I actually made it with a real CD burner and not a computer. I still own the burner even though I forgot I did until I ran across this disc last weekend. A classic mix from '02 appropriately titled "Songs Of Ponder". I have since made many such playlists, but it's so much easier now that it just doesn't seem the same.

Anyway, a good playlist to sit back and ponder what life is really all about.

Not sure how the image will turn out.
