Although there seems to have been a few more appear recently compared to a few years ago, they are still a rare beast. In full spec, they had roller driveshafts, ballraced steering, slipper clutch, and a different gearbox housing and rear hubs (from a Bosscat) compared to the standard Cougar2. They also had a lexan gear cover, which is nigh on impossible to find new these days, although repros are out there. A very nice buggy, which has been shown to handle on the track very nicely.

I have these two RC-10L incomplete chassis:

Chassis #1:
unknown1.jpg
I know this has a HPI chassis, HPI front brace, and HPI front suspension (with some 'original' assembly  ). What I need to know is who made the chassis brace and top pod brace.

Chassis #2:
unknown2.jpg
Front suspension is a hodgepodge of vintage and new Associated parts + some Irgang Racing Service parts (I know, cause I bought all of the parts new and assembled them). Chassis = ??? - has a very old I.R.S. sticker on the front, so I.R.S.? It is mounted to a wide pod, but the chassis appears to be for a 10LSS and lengthens the wheelbase compared to the standard 10LSS chassis. Nerf wings are longer than standard Associated parts, who made them? And the top pod brace is another mystery...

Ok, thanks. Does that mean there's three sizes of nerf wings for the RC-10L: short (RC-10LSS), long and very long (both wide RC10L)? The nerf wings on the HPI Insane Speed Run chassis are longer than those on the normal HPI chassis.

Edit: Nevermind, looks like the shorter long nerf wings were sawn off.

I have a few here:

1. Universal shaft - this doesn't have a flat notch (YZ-10s), nor a hole for drive pins. It uses an e-clip at the end. It must be for a 4WD that uses a one-way drive hub. Anybody know for which car this is?
Image

2. Shock collars. They all appear to be the same made with only one hole for grub screws. The red ones have matching spring retainers.
Image

3. No idea what these are for. But the 2 rings with the holes have some sort of adjusters like how Tamiya's TA-05 diffs work for adjusting belt tension. = Schumacher for Procat/CAT.
Image

4. Steering arms
Image

5. Rear hubs, of a? = Ultima - thanks JKRacing!
Image

6. Knuckles made by RPM, but for what car? = Yokomo Works 91-93???
Image

7. The attached links on these tell me they're for the 870C. Are they?
Image

8. C-hubs
Image

9. No idea on these:

Thanks in advance for any input. :P

I would guess #6 are RPM for Optima/Ultima (based on the same of the rear carriers).

#3: Upper parts: adapters for mounting Pro-10 rear wheels to a buggy? The other two parts could also be...

#6: Optima/Lazer?
#7: Optima/Lazer (based on the holes)?

#9: most of these look like they're hinge pin retainers for some car.

Are these all from the same lot? If so, maybe they belong to the same cars?

#3 - Schumacher alloy gearbox bearing pods (the solid items) - the units with the multiple hoes are lower "cam" belt tension adjusters. The entire rear differential is mounted in bearings and held in place by these cams. The standard items were plastic - alloy units are relatively hard to get and quite valuable.......nice one!

Cheers

Thanks for all the input so far!

#3 are indeed Schumachers. I browsed some pics of Procats and CATs, and they have em (though in plastic). Thank you!

It seems the #6 lot are for a Yokomo car. I doubt they're for the 870C or newer (94 and onwards) YZ10s though. I'll check Darryn's build pics if they're for the Works 91-93.

EvoRev: I thought the same with #9 items. Either hinge pin holders or camber links (maybe  ). They are too thick to be Optima/Lazer hinge pin holders though. Those are 1.5-2mm, and these are about 4mm. It would probably help if I showed them side by side with a caliper.

These all came in a lot I bought from the UK. "Extras" that came with a RC10T roller and RC10 parts. It did come with some YZ-10 items (unis and shocks) and a set of Kyosho golds. The Ultima rear hubs are the only other Kyosho parts.

Please keep the info coming!
