been a long time since i posted in this thread......
haven't been doing much on the r/c side lately, but things are moving along at the shop. here's some pics (crappy cell phone pics) of a 63 impala that's getting close to being done.

we got the freshly rebuilt 327 back in my dad's 55 chevy. just have to prime it, drop in the distributor, and fire it up.

so, we fired up the 409 in the impala (see above pics) today. guess what we found out? the fawking block is cracked.
so now that the car is more or less finished, we get to yank the engine. gotta love it..........

We didn't build it. It came to us built, painted, setup, dynoed and broken in. All we had to do was put it in the car, install the accesories and make the valve covers you see in the above pic.
It looks like an old repair that failed.

it's hard to see, but the impala has fenderwell headers. we decided to uncork the collectors this afternoon and fire it up.
