That was my first guess too but looking at the sprocket again that groove it's got behind the teeth don't look like an AYK's sprocket.

Whole thing looks like a top shaft with a inner slipper plate built in as one piece.

It's cast. The weld is machined on the bottom and there are some specs written on it. I thought I snapped a pic but didn't.... I'll update later

The space between the axle and motor seems like it would need a pretty large spur and pinion gear....could it be a pod for a puller?

The spurs on the 1/8 pan cars look about right actually that's based on my MRP spur. The axle bearings are 5/8 od too which should also point to 1/8 axles. Maybe someone can measure the mounting holes on a Associated pan car to compare

Jeff, The rear axle bearings for the RC250/300BD are metric, 8mm id x 16mm od. I just measured some from my leftover parts to check.

I sent rcvoltar a message and he said it was in a box of rc300 and rc500 parts he found. I probably wanted to think it was 5/8 based on assuming it was standard. 16mm is very likely.... I will re measure.

Picked this up from a friend over the weekend. I believe that it is an HPI RS4. Can anyone confirm or deny or add any additional information? Thanks for any input!

The RS4 original came out around '96 and is a great car however the rear transmission wasn't as free running as the later 2 belt cars. It isn't so susceptible to rocks chewing up the rear belt. Its the first touring car I ever lusted for and I still have one in pieces in a box that I'd like to restore at some point.

I found more unknown diff parts. The shafts of the outdrives are 3/16" and the cups are 3/8". The round piece, possibly a diff half, is 3/4" in diameter and the outdrives have flat spots on two sides. Phin and I think the round piece may be MIP or Thorp...any ideas?
