You wont find any cheap zx-s buggies anywhere. They only made 300 of the single piece chassis and 200 of the three piece chassis and a hanfull of prototypes. They are rare as rare can be. Prices will start at £350 for a well used in bad condition to £2000 which is what mine is worth. There is one still boxed and new on ebay for £1200.

My advice is if your looking at racing one dont as development never got completed on this buggy and is weak and breaks easily. Ive redesigned the whole cars plastic parts and alloyed up in certain areas to stop breakage. It woukd be cheaper if you dont buy one. There are now no spares or belts anywhere.

Guys,

Work has been done since I last posted on here. I have put wider front hexes on the front and narrower on the rear and added Annsman 2wd Mad Rat wheels front and rear.

I have also got a proto layshaft gear LA11 which has worked fine so far. I have also designed LIPO trays and fitted to the car. Brass ones will follow soon, with hopefully if they can make it a brass rear top deck holder.

Diff gears are being molded now and will use smaller diff balls and will have more holes making the diff ultra smooth and making the diff so much easier to use and work with.

I am also going to be working on a servo saver design on the blue steering section, which are white on my car at the moment. This will make life easier if this is in the car rather than using a Kimbrough.

Then I am also awaiting a mold for the spur gear to be made with ball holes so I can use a ZX slipper, as I believe with a reverse one way this will be the same as a normal slipper but better as it will not burn out due to the metal balls and metal plates on the spur section. If this works I will finally be able to use a 5.5 without the car wheelying all the time.

Just out of pure curiosity what would you guys say my unused and pretty much original zxs prototype is worth. I mean how much would someone pay for it?

Well i kindof think ive outstretched the cost a bit. One on ebay still hasnt sold at a cost of £800 and thats for the first version which isnt worth it. Still mines a proto so must be a price someone would be willing to pay.

I have done some proto parts and cars so I can tell you this; it is worth more to you than to anyone.
Beautiful car :D

Cheers and im in total agreement however the one proto that im still making parts for isnt for sale but the unused untouched version that has no mods other than what came direct from the factory that hasnt been run ever is taking up space in a box and i have no use for it at all hence why im up for selling it. Its got an uncut shell, undertray, gearcover and front and rear gearbox covers. Ok it has had alloy screws fitted with titanium tie rods but thats it.

Hehe thing is that this belt system is a lot better than the lazer zx/zxr as the belts dont stretch as much and can handle a lot more power. Lotus it isnt even though the elise is the best road handling car money can buy with the toyota engine nothing goes wrong.
