One of my favorite Stig Clips,,, mostly because it doesn't show him much at all and concentrates on Sabine Schmitz (former factory BMW touring car driver, now she run's "Ring-Taxi")

Hot European Blond race driver vs. The Stig

Well, the current project Pro Mod drag car made it's race debut today. Let's just say it's a little over powered. I don't think it was straight at any point this morning. The only full run I had in an aborted race day was a low 2-something quarter mile at almost 88mph—which is about 18mph faster than I expected it to go. The frightening thing is that the car was never straight through the entire run. That was with a horrid 35mph cross wind, too. It was a 60s fuel altered without the tire smoke. As soon as I get this monster stuck and balanced, it's going to be stoopid fast.

The next one will have the lighter lavender the correct color that I mixed. It's got a pearl top coat and the color lightened up a LOT. :x

This was in 8-cell setup for a different class.

It's not running 10-cells, and is WAY over powered right now. That motor is a machined carbon steal can, 6-magnet NEO motor, and I can't even turn it over by hand. It's absolutely crazy. Ram 15 volts into that thing, and it's a real handful. I have some more work to do on it now, after the first day on the track, but at least I have a better grasp on it's performance potential. Sick fast.

I have slower car in the works, too. It's a '34 Chevy Roadster Super Comp car that will be set up for bracket racing. Without a ton of drag strips around, the drive needs to be worth my track time, so it will pay off to have two cars to run on a race say.

I also have a Top Fuel electric dragster project going, as well, that will be a brushless/LiPo car with the potential of well over 100mph trap speeds around 1.3 seconds.

that's an awesome car doug. the 53 stude has to be the nicest pro mod body. real, r/c, or slot car. 8-10 years ago, when i was doing 1/24 slot car drag racing, i used one on one of my bracket cars.

Very cool paint job, but I also have a soft spot for those Willys, now that's Americana too. Especially with a hemi!

Question if I may, haven't looked at a drag car lately: Please provide some info on you throttle control. Is it just a bunch of stacked switches?

Thanks!

Double stacked 25a micro switches on the throttle side, and a single for brakes sandwiched around a single Hitech MG81 micro servo. Pretty simple... on or off. :D And REALLY off. I'm not a huge fan of such a violent throttle setup—I'd prefer to be able to pedal it if I needed to—but until I can find an old Novak 828 or a Tekin G12 that will handle the high voltage and amps this setup puts out, I'm kinda stuck. This setup is what most everyone runs if using brushed motors. Brushless is a whole 'nother ballgame. :)
