I am gonna clip the "Traxxas High Current Connector" and just replace it with a Tamiya Style. I have tons of batteries, just no "high current" connectors.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Buying one isn't going to put any builds off.
how could it? traxxas would never think about selling a kit that had to be assembled.

It's a scale thing, I really like it. Just wish I could get an unpainted body.

I had mine for about a week. I loved it. I pulled the brushless stuff out of the vxl stampede, made for a super fun truck Fun enough I just sent it on its way and pocketed enough money to buy another brand new one, another brushless setup, and some cash for my troubles.

I never really liked the Traxxas stuff I guess because I hated my stampede from day one! It handeled like crap bouncing all over the place. Never tried the Other cars though so maybe they aren't all that bad if your just starting out and if you need that Slash just to have one.

Hey RC Chick,
You started off with the worst one IMHO that they have so I can see why you wouldn't like Traxxas. The stampeded is like...a wierd pumped up 2wd monstertruck type thing. I'm not much into the new stuff either but this slash looked cool to me with its ideas. Waterresistant/proof electronics was the thing that caught my eye even though it isn't brushless. Traxxas really hasn't had any really competitive stuff since they stopped producing the SRT,TCP,TRX1 or TRX3, and some of the eagle/blue eagle stuff. This stuff is where it was at. I've been bit by the vintage bug and hang around that part of their forum quite a bit.

Cool pix Mr. L. Let us know how you like it and what you find to be its 'weak link' parts. Gotta agree with JK about those shocks. Looks like a set of BigBores would fix that part though. PLEASE keep the updates comin.
