If I have learned anything over the last few months it's that the American companies no longer have the integrity they once did. It will definitely change the way I think about them. That said, AE is still doing more than any other company for releases. I will tend to focus more on Kyosho and Schumacher than I have in the past but just by the sheer volume of parts I already make AE will still be the dominant focus

Watching it on YouTube probably wasn’t anything close to what it really was but some people on the FB groups were really angry with Losi and Horizon in regard's to the race. I don’t really understand why but it looked like they had lots of Losi’s on the track.
Unsure, I don't think Losi/Horizon really got involved at all, maybe that's why they are mad.

Personally I've disconnected the company, Team Losi Racing/Losi from the cars I used to race back in the day. They aren't the same company in my mind, they still make neat things but their focus is no longer on racing, especially 10th scale.
After seeing all the people that were there, I really thought we might see Gil Jr there too. But I guess not.

That would have been epic. You should have seen the smiles on the legends faces while they were racing, it was so heartwarming. You could tell they were truly happy to be there

I agree with a lot of what you said, it is all very true. However, I think "business is business" has been a thing, right or wrong, mostly wrong in my eyes, forever, in any and all markets. We just look at the past differently because we were kids and young adults and oblivious to a lot of it. Talking to a lot of older folk in the industry and even going through a lot of old magazines and publications all that dirty business was there, we just didn't understand it or knew about it so we romanticize the past. It's actually pretty fascinating taking a look back with older and somewhat wiser eyes, the "industry" we know and love seemed SOOO big and in reality it was and is TINY and was controlled by a small minority of folk.

How many of them are actually American? The only ones I can think of are RPM, MIP, Factoryworks, and Customworks. I haven't seen anything from them that makes me think of that group poorly.

The rest are usa owned divisions of foreign companies.

Traxxas confuses me. Are they a USA company with foreign manufacturing ?

Traxxas would be great, if they fired their legal team.

The dirt oval chassis company GFRP is American, based in Crawfordsville, IN.

I need to find a re-re Team car before this comes out. So the Ten4 chassis braces will work with this conversion?

Friendly bump to this thread. With AE making the red powder coated cliff lett chassis available separately, I sense many legend replicas ( okay, maybe just a few who are willing to tackle it) on the horizon. Can't help ya with the buggy nose plate though........
