Fry sauce isn't a thing here in the northern IL. But I'm diggin' the idea and now want fries for dinner. Since I'm over the age of 15, I no longer use ketchup on fries.

It's so crazy to me to think it's regional. It really makes me wonder what else is like that maybe we don't see here.

Chicken strip dipping sauce? It's somewhat of a thing around here. I haven't done any research on it, but from what my taste buds can tell it seems to be a mixture of mayo, honey mustard and possibly etc.

Unless it's a major chain, like McDonalds, Burger King, etc., or a brand name, such as Budweiser, Tide, Kitchen Aid, it's more than likely a regional or local thing. Although, even within major chains there can be local differences, such as mayo on burgers, which I believe is an east coast thing. I've even know a few soda flavors from major brands that are only sold in certain regions or locations.

Kinda like Hardee's and Carl Jr's. basically, the same place but little differences. We only have Hardee's around here.

Mayo on burgers is quite common in the midwest too.

I grew up on fried bologna but what is the other meatloaf looking stuff? That seems like something I need in my life, breakfast meatloaf

The first is Taylor ham / pork roll (a New Jersey thing).

The second is definitely NOT meatloaf, but a delicious acquired taste. (A Pennsylvania Deutsch thing)

I had a roommate that was all about the Taylor Pork Roll. My wife developed a thing for it during that time, and still likes it to this day. I never really got it. Now, a 1/2" bologna burger, game on!!

I haven't ate bologna in probably 25+ years. Is it still the same, a total mystery?
