WOW those are cool Jeff. I love the old brushed motors.
Gotta order direct from you a couple of things thru here. Either way those motos are 😍 beautiful..

Hi all,

Planning to preorder one of these and dabbling into the world of vintage rc. Ideally I would like my rc10t to see some track use. How reliable are the transmission? Seems difficult to find transmission, differential, and slipper(?) parts? Thinking of finding a period correct motor as well.

as far as the stealth goes its a all of what you would ever need. Reliable is an understatement but theres always alternatives to it in the vintage world.

The stealth is pretty bullet proof but I would stock up on consumables like diff rings and thrust washers, and it wouldn't hurt to keep a spare diff gear on hand just in case.

I'm guessing they still produce these or we can retrofit from newer(t2-t3?) models?

Nope. No parts carry over from the b2/3. FanRc is the best source. dynotech makes new out drives, the diff balls are still being made and the diff rings are available from McMaster Carr.

McMaster...as in the hardware store? neat.

Thanks!

I was going to cancel. I’m glad I didn’t. Unfortunately I’m going to have to put it on the “to do” shelf for a while until I can finish up quite a few other projects.

Mine came today. Me...I'm gonna build and run mine like I don't care. I have no attachment to the RC10T so I might as well have fun with it. Maybe it will be great and I'll grow to love it.

I missed the 40th buggy and bought this due to FOMO. I'd still like a 40th, but for the current $ for the 40th's on the market, there are better options...specifically with a new batch of Javelins and Optimas that just landed and that can be had for $300ish.

Considered using the pan and stealth and building a buggy around it but now think that's kind of stupid with RC10T etched in the chassis.

I sure wish AE would make a classic RC10....not some special low-production numbered car or clear shelf queen, but just a car I can buy, build from scratch as new and enjoy.

Maybe you will get your wish.
We were told 2024 would be a great year and so far, AE has re-released two versions of the RC10, a clear collector B6 and the RC10T and the year is only half over.
I believe there's more to come. :D

I'm tipping for either a CE or Team car. There are likely more coming

Sadly my wallet won't be able to keep up.

I hope a team car is coming. I have held out on the CC, the 40th classic and the 10t in hopes of another worlds car or a team car.

I'm hoping for the team car as well but maybe it will be something completely different like an on-road pan car - a 10L perhaps?
With Christmas coming at the end of the year, maybe the best is yet to come.
Really happy with the direction my favorite RC maker has taken this year.

Not exactly easy to get yet but from what I’ve seen the FanRC “worlds” car is going to be a normal production product. If AE doesn’t come out with their Team car there’s always that option.

My two T's arrive today! Building one to run 17.5 Just Stock Hobby Wing.

I regularly raced an original 10T about 6 years on indoor dirt 17.5 and it was very competitive.

Weather thisis competitive or not on my current indoor carpet off road track does not matter to me. They are fun to build and maintain.

Cheers to everyone else getting one!

Here's a vid with a chopped body to show the original suspension: https://youtu.be/rTZs1e2mPQE?si=W2uJZWPJBPOJon-y
