Oh darn, a thought just occurred to me.
In addition to the wrong shocks, the kit will likely include bushings not bearings, the nylon could be very white and it probably won't come with a printed manual.
But you know what?
I DON'T FREAKING CARE!
If the quality is like the 40th (and why wouldn't it be), it will be an awesome addition to the collection!

Even though it was taken down, that's enough confirmation for me that it's eventually happening.

Oh they did that on purpose just to stir the pot....it worked.

Wow! Well, I've held out long enough and passed on every rere rc10 that has come out, but a rere rc10t would be a must have for me. Always had used or hand me down rc10's bitd, the 10t was special to me being the first "new" kit I ever owned and got mine back in '91. Definitely keeping tabs on this one!

I am not an AE guy, but the 10T or similar-spec buggy (black pan, green shocks, white nylon) would be the hardest to resist.
One of you collectors will trade me a Ford truck body for the Chevy-esque kit body, right?

I can't commit 2 blasphemies on a single kit.

I woudl have been excited for the green shocks as well. The ones from my original team car are still mint. All the 'hard' coated shocks are scuffed up. Since they are already making v2 shocks bodies. it wouldn't have been a big stretch to make them correct.
Will this have a v1 top shaft or a b4 style one? They are already fitting un-threaded shock bodies. Was there any view of the screws? Would they be the black steel screws?

I'll make a wild guess and say B4 shaft and same screws as 40th but maybe they will surprise us.
FanRC makes the shocks - 64 bucks for a full set. I'm tempted.

You can see an original style slipper in the pics.

I've held out this far, but the 10T classic will be the one that does it for me as well. I'm in for this one.

This might be the one I buy boxes for my kids to build. The CC was a fun build. The 40th is a box of mint condition spare parts for my current 6 gears.
I could actually see my kids being able to bash the rc10t's. It looks like associated made this for the shelf with the gold shocks and v1 slipper.
Now it would be excellent if they went back to the og gear box and idler

I couldn't see it because I'm blind or too lazy to look that close.
Maybe a little of both.

Wow very interesting! I’m mostly into buggies but funny enough I just this year put together an original 10T after holding out for a long time. And now this tidbit surfaces! It’s tempting in part for the skinny fronts as all I have are wides.

Is it me or is the enthusiasm level greater for the truck than the buggy?
Maybe it's because this is the first re-release for the 10T?
Anyway, I hope AE will be ready and stock enough kits to fill all orders.
