Yeah, glass filled is always stiffer...wasn't a big noticeable difference in use though...

Just remembered I have an aluminum rear pod for the Tamiya Road Wizard/99t sold by Dan's RC Stuff. I think it's pretty rare since I haven't seen another outside of magazines.

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have
I have a few items I would consider calling rare.
Firstly, the Brimod prototype car. It's 1 of 1.
The Pinkomo chassis set is certainly the only one I have ever seen, and the Concept Car 4wd RC10 is also one of only a couple I have seen. I have only seen one Supercharge Hotshot also.
The Brimod prototype shocks which were used on the Schumacher CAT SWB press car and on the boxart photograph. I only know of two full sets, both of which I own.
Then there's this...
I have some rare and unusual motors, prototypes and one-off experimental motors such as an aluminium wind Demon armature, a flat-sided hand made (I mean every component of the car and endbell) MG motor, and even a star wind 8.5turn armature.

This is sort of the rarest…this is a 1 of 1 (at the moment) Losi mini JRX2 rear shock tower made from iridium carbon fiber.

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have
The other day I remembered another rare R/C part I have. A Big Boy Toys steering kit for the Raider of all things. I had never seen one before I bought it, and haven't seen another one since. It really surprised me that they ever sold anything for it.

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have
I have my old stuff from the mid-late 80's and early 90's - most things cool but not particularly rare. The one thing that comes to mind are these Sees wheels. Seeing these incredible wheels in RCCA when I had the opportunity to buy them I spent all my money and bought as many as I could thinking I would scratch them all with my RC10L. I only used one set for a couple runs and never used the others. Probably 20 years ago now I transferred all but one set of rears from the original stapled package to vacuum sealed individual bags to prevent oxidation. Looking at them now it worked.. the set in the Sees bag are oxidized the others excellent. The anodizing on all of them looks excellent and as new. Some day soon I plan to polish the set on the car. I know I saved the original Sees bag labels and bags but couldn't find them quickly. After taking these pictures I remember I also have a brand new RC10L body in original bag in storage (the same box art body I have here - don't remember the part#).
One thing that sucks is that I can't find any donuts (unmounted tires) to put on these rims anymore. I posted about this like 10 years ago on this forum but never had luck finding anything.,
