Yup, earlier motors
It wasn't as cool as I'd hoped. It was a Checkpoint motor label overlayed on a 360PT can.

Sure were, earlier motor cans were also same makes were in the Kyosho line and for a small amount of time Kyosho made some Trinity motor cans.
I do not see any pics of real Checkpoints with a Le Mans can.

Hey thanks! I added the info. I removed the Bud's #7241 12x2 oval motor due to the potential discrepancy, and the fact there's nothing official to back it up.

I mean it is possible there is two part numbers for the 12x2 there seems to be also two for the 15x2, we have hard Proof in my post. My thought is, maybe they had multiple same turn but different build as far as motor can, endbell, AWG in the armature wind. So If I fined anymore I will be sure to reach out.

I had to do a double take on the Bud's 7315 pic. The signature brown carpet is always a giveaway.
