Some Progress. The extra 4 holes are to fit a shorty pack.
Need to finalize matching top deck.

This done for now. I tried to use white tie rod ends that I had but they kept breaking. I’ll be on the hunt for tires, rear wheels and white tie rod ends. I had a factory works top deck but it does not fit. Not sure if I have a short version of the top deck? First time I have owned the bottom load shocks. I was going to replace the caps with new ones but the blue was darker and these looked better.

The upper was copied off an original CC part and sold to a few people that have original chassis with no reports of fitment issues. I suspect there is something off in the length or the kickup on the reproduction chassis.

This not a reproduction chassis. This one is stock. The reproduction chassis was based off this top deck and will fit according to my CAD.

Two different builds here. The white parts car is all stock except for shock towers. The black one I’ll build next is going to be with the new chassis set.

That is really odd then. The CC upper was made for their own chassis but in comparing it to my NIB trx1 chassis it lines up perfectly. I'm not certain what could be the issue there at that point.

I’ll take some measurements and let you know. I did notice that the steering linkage to chassis bend was different than my cobbled CAD. This is traxxas, could have been anything to sell product. It might be a few millimeters longer at the end of the trx1 run?

This is what I have. Measure is flat until it touches bend.

Wow! That looks amazing. Great work on this. Looking forward to your builds now.

I love the look of the solid rear tower.

Will you have any available for purchase?
