Possibly to achieve a different Ackermann angle. Or to clear the steering ballcups from the upper tie rod ballcups.

I stared at mine for a bit today and can't for the life of me figure out what 75% of the holes are for. Servo options for both sides... Flipped trans and bulkhead. Everything else is a mystery. One other thing to note, the battery cup holes on these chassis are moved forwards 5/16" (8mm). Nice for using a World's battery hold down.
I'm thinking of doing a World's Car graphite chassis conversion on this one if anyone can spare a proper AE 6232 front shock tower (I have a NIB 6377 rear for trade

)

i don't know how to do all that trick stuff like placing arrows and circles around stuff, so i'll just wing this.................
the guy you got that from is on dirtoval.com (also a memeber on here but never posts). it was obviously setup as a mid engine, that accounts for the bulkhead holes in the rear and the reversed stealth trans holes. now because of that, the entire battery pack need to go forward, which is why there is 2 new battery box holes between the original 2, and the bulkhead holes. and 2 more farther up on the chassis. i'd be willing to bet a few of the holes near the front were for stand-offs that the body mounts attached to. also, because of the battery being so far ahead, i'm sure some of them are misc. servo placement holes. the extra ones on the kickup could've been for some kind of bumper to mount a late model body.
did any of that make sense?

at some point in time, it was probably because of ballcup clearance. if you had seen how this car was setup, this guy had no idea what ackermann was, or how to acheive a different angle for it. trust me.

Hey Temple, awesome score! Any idea on how you are going to build this one up, stock parts? aftermarket parts?

As in doing a 6037 with this chassis.
