Don't forget Ben Sturnham finished second, but was disqualified because he had the wrong make of endbell on his motor. So the Cat 2000s actually finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the track behind Masami.Jimbo wrote:Kevin Moore came 2nd and William Mitcham 3rd in the 1993 Worlds using Cat 2000's

Re: Schumacher Timeline
Wow I absolutely love this forum!!!
Anyway the Schumacher Storm was an early truck style 1/10th model - there were two varies one electric and the other nitro - not sure about the electric but the nitro version directly competed with the RC10 GT truck back in the day
I still race one to this day now and again all be it very modified..

Re: Schumacher Timeline
That seller's a great guy as well, I releived him of a Terra crusher and a 1/9 kyosho nitro subaru with reverse gear.
Both well packed dirt cheap and well looked after
I was going to combine that in, but forgot to.

He lives on an island, guess that explains the paddles

Re: Schumacher Timeline
Updated Shumacher timeline. This only lists electric buggies, not nitro cars or the Wildcat series. Prices are actual retail prices around the time the kit was launched (not RRP - the CAT 2000EC RRP was £335!!)
Data collected from manuals, catalogues & UK modelshop adverts and not magazine reviews which are notoriously late. However the release order within a given year might not be accurate. Some cars such as the Bosscat and the CAT 2000 were sold alongside each other for a while, and others such as the Club10 & Cougar 2000 were upgraded over time, but kept the same kit part number. Hope this helps any Schumacher fans out there. If I've got anything wrong, or anyone has more info about which cars won what races please get in touch & I'll edit it - enjoy!

Re: Schumacher Timeline
so which of the 2wd did they start having gear tranny instead of the belt? I have a cougar2 and it's belt. Will I be able to use these new fangled brushless motors and how hot a motor can I go? No slipper unfortunately

Re: Schumacher Timeline
You can get a gear transmission for a Cougar2 chassis, from a Club 10.... but it's pretty much an all plastic transmission (housing, motor mount, etc.), so you'd want to be careful....zoomzoombang wrote:so which of the 2wd did they start having gear tranny instead of the belt? Cougar 2000 was where the gears really came in....

Re: Schumacher Timeline
Mick,
I have the Fireblade USA exploded diagram, but only the Fireblade 2000 and EVO manuals....
Do you have a list of part numbers? I don't have a lot of FB stuff (even though I have a 2000 in bits), but there may be something I can help with.
