Re: JRX Pro build
taking a better look now at what you needed to do to get the bones to fit on the chassis leads me to believe that those bones are supposed to fit the later **retrofit**transmission, that is more like a traditional gear layout, the LRM trans is pretty dang wide due to the center diff and outdrive gears. the drive cups obviously fit the gears, so some kind of bones had to be available. wondering if they were supposed to go with cvd's or something.

Re: JRX Pro build
found this .....suppose there is also a kit for 'retrofit xx' that would be the bones you currently have. You can see the bone is barely longer than the drive cup.

Re: JRX Pro build
^ That makes sense. I sort of figured as much but I wanted to use the shiny aluminum bones that I had. I really like how they look. Thanks for posting that picture. Good to know the part I need to make it actually work right.
BTW I used JCRacing 2.2" wheels with Schumacher 2.2" rubber. I wanted the look of the larger wheels and the old school spiked rubber. It may not be to everyone's taste, but I like it.

Re: JRX Pro build
I received the JG front mini bumper. It was one of the last pieces I needed.
I am still hoping to someday find a MIP transmission for this buggy. I think it deserves it. I am waiting on the body to be painted. I think I will need to change the rear shocks to the back of the tower, so that the Pro body fits nicer.

Re: JRX Pro build
I would like to come up with a different method for mounting the wing. I have never been a big fan of the wire wing mounts. I am thinking of maybe crafting some mounts from carbon fiber sheet, or scrap I have around. However this may not look correct on this car.
In the least maybe I could utilize these (what I believe are old HPI mounts) and bend my own wire to mount the wing.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a non standard wing mount? Thanks!

Re: Losi JRX Pro Build
Yet another spectacular build. Really nice to see what you've been able to do with it. I was content with the way it was, but these mods take it to another level. Save those vintage Losi ballcups and early thin rear arms/hubs that it came with.

Re: Losi JRX Pro Build
^ Thanks Blaze. Purple wouldn't really fit with this build, but the color can always be changed. Please post a picture of the mounts if you can. Thanks!

"the color can always be changed" curious if you have a recommendation for someone that does anodizing? I have a few projects but been overwhelmed finding someone. TIA

Re: Losi JRX Pro Build
During that era wing wire was still standard. I have a set of (un anodized) alum A&L wing mounts, which would match your body mounts, that I can send to you if you'd use them. I'd put them on the rear shock tower and pull the stock wing tubes out of the bulkhead.

Re: Losi JRX Pro Build
jb7778 - I have used a local (to me) anodizer, but I don't recommend them. They are difficult to work with and expensive. Sorry.
jcwrks - Thanks so much for the generous offer. Could you please show a picture of the mounts you are talking about? Thanks!
