Little update, Installed modified electronics (10ga wire for the esc batt +/-) shimmed the trans and took it on a maiden voyage on the driveway..................................
By the way I took it on the street for 1 hit rode the wheelie bar half way through and rolled the darn thing chunking the rear wheel, got a lot of testing and setting up to do but I think this thing will be a monster once dialed.

That’s always the same problem isn’t it? Just one more pass, just one more lap, just one more... oh sh_t, now it’s broken. At least you didn’t do too much damage. Oh and it’s looking real good so far!

Thanks Dazza but I noticed a major problem yesterday, just slow driving on driveway about a minute and a half the brushless motor (4.5 Novak) , esc and esc cap (novak GTB) were hot I mean the motor wires got so hot that 2 de-soldered themselves at the connectors.
Ive ran Novak GTB's since new still using one in my SC10 from 2005 and can run that thing all day without overheating same in my mid mount RC10DS, I'm not sure if the power cap is bad and causing issues?????????????????????????????????
Any advice.

Does the motor get hot with pinion gear removed, just spinning on a car stand? If yes, connect a different motor and repeat the test. If only one motor gets hot, chances are it's the motor at fault. If both get hot, chances are it's NOT the motor, and troubleshooting continues. Probably the ESC, though.

Update:
Received new ESC very nice unit and the WiFi thingy all I have to say is wow. Initial Set up was easy connected my phone to the ESC and my lord so many parameters it’s overwhelming, going to start off with the standard settings for now and work my way up.
Telemetry is awesome how it shows up on my phone I’ll take a snap shot for you guys. Data log 50 minute record time is a plus, it has a fan also which I just installed that you can control.

Was some extra front bracing talked about? One good front shot will bend that noseplate. You can get Rc10gt nose brace brackets as far as I know and you can tie in the front shock tower.

This has turned out amazing, have you hit the track with it yet?
And where did you get the carbon chassis?

Thanks man it was a challenging project, haven't hit the track as of yet but soon will.
Just messin around here on my street the cars wild needs lots of ESC tuning to tame the initial hit but rolling into the throttle and giving it full tilt the thing almost jumps off the floor.
Carbon chassis is off of ebay used 3 so far and they are perfect and lots lighter then the aluminum tub.
Well I’m looking for a body that I don’t have to modify to fit this thing, I have Andys Paint contacting all his contacts or he may just make one for me.
Here are the dimensions if anyone has a great idea or knows someone that can make me one.

Did a couple of test hits started with 50 grams up front which was to much went down to 30 grams and it felt better, no sauce on tires just testing need to take some more weight out maybe.
Parking lot was way dusty I wasn’t prepared for this so next time should have better results. Need to find the fine line between hitting the wheelie bar have it settle down and track straight, diff needs a little tightening also.
Super short video.

I may go to the SDRA ‘test and tune’ this Saturday on a real prepped track with timing lights, all depends on the weather it may be 100*
