Nice collection. I can just imagine the board room discussion on whether to slap the Marlboro sponsorship on these, or just leave it to the kid’s imagination.
Thanks...
I would have loved to have been in that board room meeting. All of the decals on the (very dusty) car are original. I always thought that the generic "oil" and "fuel" decals pushed the boundary of being totally ridiculous. As far as a Marlboro sponsorship goes, that would have been especially classic since the small stickers next to the cockpit say "NO SMOKING".

Nice!
As of Wednesday, the Stranger Things set is on its way to my house:
I'm being careful about not getting sucked into starting a new type of collection but some of the kits appeal to me so i've gotten them. Even managed to get my hands on a new in box retired kit, The LEGO Ferris Wheel #10247 to keep the new Carousel #10257 company. (started eyeing the Rollercoaster ) Both can be motorized and will make for a cool shelf display especially when you add carnival music and lights.
Now, The Downtown Diner Kit #10260 has a diner on the ground floor, a boxing gym on the second floor and interestingly a recording studio on the third floor. Pretty sweet. I thought, why not get a few singing artist in the studio to make the kit even more interesting. I learned that LEGO put out a Beatles Yellow Submarine kit that was retired at the end of 2017. I had an idea...why not sign the Beatles to play at the diner? That idea was then expanded a little...so here is a little of what i mean...
Michael Jackson : "ooops...did i just drop my little blanket over the balcony? Wooo Hooo Hooo"
The Beatles: in the recording booth -"...i don't wanna hold Gene Simmons' hand...what about you Ringo??"
Kurt Kobain: "I don't smell teen spirit...smells more like Gene Simmons cut the cheese..."
Freddie Mercury: "We are the Champions My........oh my, what is that smell?"
KIZZ: "I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night and Party EVERYDAY!!!...Gene, was that you?"
Elvis Presley: ..."bugs, roaches, beatles my butt...where are these guys...IM THE KING!!!"
Elton John: "You may be the King...but im ROCKET MAN!"
The Diner is open for business
The end

That's fantastic; very nice build! Are the rock star minifigs custom?
I have the diner set too, siting NIB. I might need to build that one after Stranger Things, which arrived yesterday. I need more time!!!

Thanks, All the rock stars placed here are custom made. Got them off ebay. No lego logos on the legs. MOC lego (My own Creation). The Beatles in the booth are also MOC non lego. However, LEGO has official LEGO Beatle figures in their yellow submarine kit #23106....I have one put away for a rainy day build - Authentic lego beatles.

They all look great for being non-Lego. Very creative!

Amazing!
U know, some guy even invented the embosser for blind people using Lego kit! So I'm thinking of a Lego tree fort

I got two items to share....
First, The DownTown Diner has been donated to my brother in law's little girl. The wife and myself built the Lego DownTown Diner set in about a month and a half...She hunted the parts and i built out them together....TeamWork . Anyways, after the diner was finished, I topped it off with a few celebrities to make it a little unique. Kizz, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Kurt Cobain, Freddie Mercury, and of course Elvis. It was cool project for us. What was even cooler was to hear how much she enjoyed the set.
Second, a Lego story...
