Pretty impressed with gearbox, unlike any i have worked with, the differential gears are exposed, one plastic gear inside, perfect shape, rest are metal, except the outside counter gear.
It feels like brand new now, no slop at all, turns very free

I heated them up with a heat gun, then hammered the bents out gently with a mechanics hammer on a the flat area on a shop vice. Then i put them on a straight edge and just hand bent the remaining curve out until they were both identical. Then i took a rolock wheel to smooth any gouges out. Wet sanded with 400 grit, then rubbed them with #0000 steel wool. No compound or aluminum polish was used

Test fitting the engine. This is actually the engine from the other car, waitn on a clutchbell for the engine for this

New engine i will use on left, after i put the crankshaft and cone starter from original engine on right
