Are you familiar with the needles and what they do?

If you can find information on the factory settings resetting them to those would be the best way, however if you can't find them set the high speed needle flush with the top of the barrel. The low speed needle should be flush with the edge of the slide and the idle speed should be set so you can see about a 1mm gap when fully closed.

Since the engine is already run in you don’t need to break it in.

Always always always tune in the following order on a full tank and when the engine is warm.

1 - HSN or High Speed Needle
2 - LSN or Low Speed Needle
3 - Idle speed

Try to keep temps around 220/230 Fahrenheit, any hotter and it's too lean. You should always see a trail of smoke, since the oil is in the fuel if you don’t see any smoke the engine isn't getting any lubrication.

I'm sure you've youtubed lots of videos but if you still have questions or need help don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you for the info. I'll be hooking up the electronics this week and will set up the carb with the instructions above. Hopefully she fires soon.

Well it's been a while, but I thought I would update this thread now that I am FINALLY done with the truck. Put everything on hold for a while and recently got the itch to finish things up. The truck is AWESOME!!! Runs perfectly and that rebuilt motor screams  Here are a couple of pics after I cleaned her up and painted the Proline Crowd Pleazer body that came new when I first bought the truck.

Here are the updated electronics I have on the truck:

(2) Savox 1257 servos
Protek Life receiver pack
Sanwa receiver w/ MT-4S remote control

I've ran about 8 tanks through her and she has performed well. Took some time to learn how to tune properly (thanks RC10th for the base tune), but I think I have it down now and she runs around 230 after a couple of tanks. This is my first nitro and I am still surprised how fast this truck hauls with that .12 Sirio.
