Sweet Ultima! As a fellow racer of old stuff, I have a couple of questions.
What are you running for 2.2" wheels? Particularly rear wheels? I'm racing a Triumph, and I'm assuming the offset on the Ultima is similar. Modern wheels don't have enough offset and end up with too narrow of a track. I've got one set of old HPI five spoke wheels that came with a used Optima I bought a few years ago, but that's it.
Why run the RC10 C-hubs and spindles? Just for parts availability?
Again, sweet Ultima.
There's nothing like a motor hanging off the back of your buggy. It just looks right!

I run a Tekin mid motor RC10 as well - it's awesome!
When it works a mid motor 2wd is way more fun to drive!
