i'm on the fence with the alloy arms... imho they make me either want to see them black or see more chromie stuff elsewhere.
I say run the plastic arms. Aluminum arms on old RC10's just look out of place to me. I don't remember ever seeing any aluminum arms bitd, or even seeing them offered in magazines. Well, except aluminum trailing arms. The look very not-era-correct and stick out like a sore thumb.

Not that it's not going to be an awesome truck either way, I'm just sayin.

Haha, always do what your friends tell you to. Peer pressure is cool. Give me a set of Tecnacrafts.

Seriously though, the aluminum arms are definintely cool, but I just think the plastic will be much more appropriate for this truck. Think of 24" aluminum Dubs on a Superbird or something. It just ain't right.

great looking parts. I love the RPM parts I have them on my JRX Pro. its hard to put on any stock parts with them around.

I was able to steal away to the garage to do a bit more work on the Tonight. I was at a stand still on the project because I needed damper springs and I found that the rear carriers I had needed unflanged bearings. So on the way to the Post Office tonight, I was able to stop by the hobby shop While looking for the springs I found some hop up rear RPM carriers that come with 1/4X1/2 bearings. I also installed the transmission and Losi hydra drive unit. I also bowed to the pressure and switched out the aluminum arms for some RPM plastic arms. I have to agree that they do look better. One last thing I need to do is to make some front axles. The issue I have is that JPS sent me front wheels for Tamiya. Usually that isn’t a problem as I have the Hop up JG axles to fit Tamiya wheels. But I found that the JG axles will not work with my RPM steering and caster block set up. So I plan to use my buddies lathe to make some from aluminum stock.

go back to the aluminum arms, use kyosho ultima polished sandoffs on the chassis, do what you think looks good... they would match the shock collars too.

As you seem very susceptible to suggestion at the moment, have you thought about switching all the parts out for a well used RC10? If so just pm me and I'll swap you one.

Not to be a ball breaker but that steel brace that you have attached to the front body mount should be mounted in front of the front arms, it's a front arm brace ;)

Except it's an RPM front bulkhead...which IIRC the brace isn't used on.
